We've tried them all so you don't have to. Here are our favorite restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner on Tybee Island...not in any particular order.
The Crab Shack
40 Estill Hammock Rd, Tybee Island, GA 31328
The Original Crab Shack on Tybee Island is the most popular dining destination for low-country boil and BBQ. The outdoor dining experience is part of the charm of this Tybee Island staple. Watch wildlife and watercraft from your table while you enjoy a leisurely dinner. The Crab Shack has a small lagoon with baby alligators to entertain you as you wait for your table and a large kitty cat population roams the area - don't be surprised if one comes up to your table to say, "hello".
Coco's Sunset Grille
1A Old US Highway 80,Tybee Island, GA 31410
Off the beaten-path, you will find Coco's Sunset Grille. It's your typical island-inspired restaurant nestled in the marsh on the back side of Tybee Island, on the shores of Lazaretto Creek. CoCo’s Sunset Grille is one of the very few restaurants located at an operating marina. The sunset views is what this restaurant is known for, but we come for the food. They offer sandwiches, seafood platters, and pasta dishes. Personally, I adore the penne alfredo!
Rock House Original Bar & Grill
1518 Butler Ave, Tybee Island, GA 31328
Be warned - Rock House is a bar - it's loud, crowded, and your order will take a bit to be delivered. But when your food arrives you will understand why this restaurant is one of our top 5 on the island. It truly is the "Best Seafood on Tybee Island" - as the window banner describes. And for a bar, the menu is fairly large from seafood dishes, to burgers and hot dogs, to gourmet pizza. But hands down, the peel and eat shrimp is our all time favorite and the mahi mahi just melts in your mouth - no chewing required. Overall, every dish is delicious! Oh, and the drink menu is expansive because Rock House is a bar! (Children welcome).
Fannie's On The Beach
1613 Strand Ave, Tybee Island, GA 31328
Fannie's On The Beach isn't only known for its food and drinks, as several Hollywood films have used this island eatery as a backdrop to films such as Baywatch and Dirty Grandpa. Established in 1992, Fannie's has been a beachside retreat for beach goers for decades. It's a funky place with surf-n-turf, wings, fresh seafood, burgers, and salads. They have a great kid's menu too. Drop in wearing your bathing suits and flip flops, we did.
The Breakfast Club
1500 Butler Ave, Tybee Island, GA 31328
Our favorite breakfast spot on Tybee Island is The Breakfast Club. The name is a bit misleading, it's not the size of any club I'd ever been to. It is a tiny diner that is in dire need of a renovation but the food coming out of the kitchen is always tasty and fast. The folks at The Breakfast Club know how to churn out tons of food quickly - which is a good thing - as there is always a line outside waiting to get in.
Raw Ingredients
18C 16th St, Tybee Island, GA 31328
Raw Ingredients is a take-out sushi bar with the best Boba Tea - or bubble tea - in Savannah. The flavors are amazing. My favorite was definitely honeydew. However, mango was a close second. Wait, banana was pretty sensational as well. Okay....they're all good. Try it for yourself and good luck finding your favorite bubble tea flavor.
Pier 16 Seafood Restaurant (The Newcomer)
1601 Inlet Ave. Tybee Island, GA 31328
Pier 16 is the newest arrival on the island and a welcome one at that. Large rooftop seating and inside dining below to suit every type of diner. The indoor/outdoor bar is going to be a hit with beachgoers and casual diners alike. The menu takes island fare up a notch with their meal presentation. You can even order a juicy steak at this beachside seafood restaurant. We expect Pier 16 to be an island favorite before long.
Article updated 10/24/2020 to include Pier 16.

Missing Coco's and the Crab Shack! Two of my favorite spots on Tybee. Sharing some other amazing tybee restaurants on https://visittybee.com/restaurants
Great place. I am also going to have my Savannah and Tybee Island vacation soon. I'm gonna travel with my child and according to https://visittybee.com that there are kid-friendly activities there and kid-friendly hotels too. Thanks for sharing.
I haven't tried Raw yet. We love sushi and bubble tea so this one's going on the list for sure! Fannie's on the Beach has one of my favorite shrimp 'n grits dishes in town and the Crab Shack, as kitschy as it is, is one of my faves period. It's just so much fun and the food is great.
